RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management/Delivery
- Lead and deliver projects with full project life cycle ownership, ensuring all project operations.
- Manage project start-up, maintains project schedule, and ensures effective handover, including holding regular project management meetings.
- Report on project success, results, progress, and deployment of activity
- Identify and continually manage project and program expectations managing deliverables
- Drive efficiency and optimisation, including productivity, performance rates, contractor assessments and key contractual commitments target/requirements
Employee Relations
- Foster channels of communication on site
- Motivate project team and ensure accountable to delivering with efficiency and effectiveness, and of consistently high standards.
- Monitor staff and contractor performance
- Assess the workforce resources, skills and experience required on site
- Ensure employee performance reviews are completed and any issues are addressed, including counselling and discipline.
- Apply conditions of employment and pay rates in accordance with Enterprise Agreement or relevant employee instrument on site.
- Acts promptly to resolve employee matters, pay disputes, grievances, and complaints. Seeks guidance from HR to assist.
Commercials
- Take ownership of all commercial aspects of project
- Analyse and control of project expenditure and duration
- Ensure projects are invoiced monthly compliant with the terms and conditions of contract inclusive of all claimable variations
- Participate in monthly management/operations meetings
Pre – Contract
- Ensure professional, high-quality estimates/tender bid/proposals are prepared, checked and submitted with, where possible, fit for purpose, competitive, alternative proposals
- Engage with clients and internal subject matter experts at precontract stage to understand scope, and contribute to tender process
ABOUT YOU
You are a positive front-line leader and have previous experience in an on-site management role along with;
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role, managing complex construction and/or remediation projects
- Commercial law knowledge
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
- Proficiency in managing budgets and cost control
- Exceptional stakeholder management and subcontractor management
- Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project
Qualifications and Requirements
- White Card
- Drivers Licence
- Tertiary qualification in Construction or Engineering
